The uterine lining continues to shed, though the menstrual flow may be very light by now. Estrogen and progesterone levels have bottomed out, and the uterine lining has become very thin. The egg(s) within the ovaries are preparing to mature.
Outward symptoms:
Basal body temperatures are low - though they could be somewhat higher at this point, which is normal.
