Menstrual Cycle Day 14
0 CommentsWhat is happening internally?
Estrogen levels begin to decline, and progesterone levels begin to increase. The sudden burst of lutenizing hormone (LH) causes the follicle to burst, and the egg floats into the fallopian tube. This is ovulation, and ends the follicular phase. The luteal phase of the cycle is now beginning.
Outward symptoms:
Cervical fluid will be clear and stretchy - like egg whites. Cervix will be at SHOW - soft, high, open and wet. You may or may not feel mittelschmertz (ovulatory pain). Basal body temperatures are low. You may see a bit of spotting, as a result of ovulation. Your libido is high.
