What is happening internally?
The corpus luteum continues to produce high amounts of progesterone, in order to maintain the uterine lining. If an ovum (egg) has been fertilized, it continues its journey down the fallopian tube, and toward the opening into the uterus. The fertilized egg, at this point, is known as a morula.
Outward symptoms:
Basal body temperatures remain high - above the coverline. Cervix is low, firm, and closed. Cervical fluid is dry. You may be experiencing a little bloating or water retention.
