Implantation

Implantation is usually a quite gentle process, with very few symptoms that can be felt or noticed. Most symptoms are usually detected or diagnosed as implantation once a pregnancy has been confirmed; that is, once you realize you’re pregnant, certain symptoms you might have noticed a few days prior will match up to those common to implantation.

That said, following are some typical signs of implantation.

• A very small amount of spotting or implantation bleedingmay occur for a short period of time, around 7 to 10 days after ovulation has taken place.
• If you are tracking your basal body temperature daily, you may notice a second thermal shift (rise in temperature) that occurs about 7 to 10 days past the date that ovulation has been confirmed.
• You may also notice an implantation temperature dip that lasts for a single day, usually around 7 to 10 days past ovulation.
  
  While these signs can be a promising indicator that fertilization and implantation have taken place, they are not confirmation.

Just because you may have felt some of these symptoms, you may not necessarily be pregnant. Only a positive pregnancy test or a blood test performed by your doctor can confirm that pregnancy has occurred.

I has my implant out and put back in agian because it was the end of the 3 years so i got it put back in straight away, they told me not to have sex for 7 days and if i do, have sex with a condom and i did with my boyfriend and then after found out the condom had a big hole in it so... i think i may be pregnant im getting sypotoms and advise please:)

Im 45yrs old have regular 20-23 cycles my last cycle was on 12/26/2011 havent had another one since were 1/31/2012 did a pregnancy test its results negative whats wrong

Hi i am a bit unsure whats going on.i had a period on the 4th december 2011 and then again on the 24th december, i had benn on the shot for birth control after having my twin boys,however i had my last one in april 2011 and by october my periods were back and on a normal 28day cycle as i have always been before the jab.then in decemebr i had the 2 periods in 20day cycle and now its 31st january and no period?i had un protected sex on the 8th of jan,and in the week leading up to the 21st i had bloating and cramping,and was exhausted but no period, did a pregnancy test 5days ago but was negative so im not sure whats going on?does anybody else have any advice or similar experience?

Casey, i use to use plan b it seemed like once every other month (my bf was paranoid) from my experience with it always threw off my cycle i wouldn't say ur 20 days late.... i would typically spot after plan b and not get my cycle til the following month around the time the plan b made me spot..... i hope that helps

.my last period was december 11th,.i ovulated december 25th had unprotected sex and well you know,.got plan b the next day december 26th,.my cycle was supposed to come on january 8th,.but on january 1st-3rd i had light spotting,.with mild cramps,.now i'm 20 days late and i been nauseous,.sore/tender breast,.and tired really tired,.i don't know what is up because i took a hpt test and it was negative..

Hi i am 7 seven days late on my period and i took two pregnancy test both negative don't know what could be going on with my body? i am usually on time but don't know why i'm so late?

Bentleigh!! you and i started our period the same time in dec. today 1/23/12 was supposed to start, and i have not yet. but feeling alot of cramping, and craving cereal. good luck!!!

Bentleigh, you and i are in the same boat. like exact same boat, same days. i have mydays on my phone and had sex on the 5th. i'm supposed to start my period today as well, but i haven't seen any signs. i took a pregnancy test this morning though and it was negative. i feel pregnant though. i have been extremely exhausted, i sleep all day till i have to work, then i come home, shower and sleep again. my boobs have grown atleast a cup size, i can't even wear a wire bra anymore. my stomach looks swollen and i was spotting around the time of implantation. i have felt nauseated around certain things, like fast food, some cologne, flowery smells and cigarette smoke (i just quit so idk if that's why or if it is a sign) this is my 3rd pregnancy if i am pregnant, but the other 2 ended in miscarriage. i'm just going to wait a few days and take another test. i'm trusting my instincts, and have started eating healthier. i quit smoking the day i had unprotected sex, just because i knew there would be a chance i could get pregnant. all we can do is wait it out. :/ good luck!

Bentleigh, i have the same sex dates and cycle as you and feeling dizzy and sick but no throwing up, a couple weeks ago i had pain in my pelvis and lower abdomen with some feeling of movement. i took a test today and it was negative, hoping it was to early to test. let me know if you have any answers for your question. thanks! and good luck! :)

I had my period on dec. 30 and lasted to jan 3. yesterday me and my boyfriend had sex and after i wiped my self there was light pink blood. now i have very mild cramping but no blood whats wrong with me.
