Healthy Eating During Pregnancy: 4 Delicious Recipes

Nine months of waiting for your little bambino to arrive can be anxious and exhausting, but hey, you still have to eat! Why not try some fresh and new recipes that you and your baby will enjoy. Plus, you need recipes that take little prep and cook time so you can get those extra zzz's you've been craving lately. Here are four new recipes to add to your cooking adventure.

Ultimate Chicken Salad

Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast, boiled and shredded
3 Tablespoons diced onion
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup quartered red, seedless grapes
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
In large mixing bowl, stir all ingredients until thoroughly mixed. Refrigerate two hours before serving. Serve with your choice of bread for the ultimate chicken salad sandwich experience!

Banana Nutella Popsicles

This is a great summer treat to satisfy your sweet tooth! Simple and easy so you can prop your feet up and enjoy!

Ingredients:
6 ripe bananas
1/2 cup Nutella

Directions:
Puree bananas in blender until smooth. Add Nutella and blend again. Place mixture into Popsicle holders and freeze until firm. Enjoy!

Parmesan Ravioli

This recipe is perfect for a quick, evening meal that is filling and elegant. Your spouse will be glad you tried this new one!

Ingredients:
20 oz. package frozen cheese-stuffed ravioli
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
6 Tablespoons butter or olive oil
4 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano

Directions:
Prepare ravioli according to package directions; drain. Add butter or olive oil and cheese. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Then, add remaining ingredients. Serve with a side green salad and garlic bread.

Quick and Easy Tuna Skillet

Tired of packaged skillet meals? Make your own with very little mess and lots of flavor. This is a great go-to meal when you are crunched for time and still want a hot meal on the table in less than 30 minutes.

Ingredients:
1 6 oz can tuna
1 8 oz. package spiral noodles
4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
2 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt

Directions:
Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain. In large skillet add cooked pasta and all remaining ingredients. Cook and stir on med-low for 10 minutes. Add additional milk or water if mixture becomes too dry. Serve hot with garlic bread and salad.
