Celebrity Baby News Including a Royal Baby UpdateKatlyn Joy | 4, February 2015
We've just launched into a new year, and for many celebrity couples, it's a new life that's underway. Here is the latest in celebrity pregnancy and baby news.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, 33, and now 6 months pregnant, is past the horrible weeks of intense morning sickness. She is making appearances, and now clearly sporting a baby tummy. She also reports she is feeling the baby move now.
"It's moving all the time," she said. "I can feel it kicking now."
Apparently, the couple has chosen not to find out the gender of the baby, either. During the Duchess' visit to Kensington Leisure Center, she was given a gift for son, Prince George, now 18 months of age. It was an inflatable duck. She was wearing a Seraphine "Florrie" floral print maternity dress in blue and green and a powder blue dress coat by the same British designer. Reportedly the dress retails for 0 and the coat for 5.
Justin Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel have a lot to celebrate. The couple recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary in New Zealand. Then Justin celebrated his 34th birthday this past weekend and took the opportunity to end months of speculation, revealing his wife's baby bump in an Instagram message.
He wrote, "Thank you EVERYONE for the Bday wishes! This year, I'm getting the GREATEST GIFT EVER. CAN'T WAIT. #BoyOrGirl #YouNeverKnow #WeDontEvenKnow #WeAreTakingBets"
Biel, 32, has been with singer Timberlake since 2007. They wed in Italy October 19, 2012.
Eli Manning and wife Abby may not have fussed much over the Super Bowl this year, but they were celebrating something much better: the birth of their third child, a daughter. Caroline Olivia arrived on January 29 and was greeted by sisters Lucy Thomas, 19 months, and Ava Francis, 3 1/2. How's Manning feel about his expanding role of father?
"I'm enjoying every moment of it and being with them," he said. "Some of the things they say and do catch me by surprise and give me a good laugh."
Zooey Deschanel and boyfriend Jacob Pechenik, 42, are expecting their first child this summer. Deschanel, 34, said, "Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one." A week after the January pregnancy announcement the couple announced their engagement.
It's a family thing, as Zooey's sister, Emily Deschanel, the star of Bones, is also pregnant. Her husband, David Hornsby is star of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The couple already have a son, Henry, who is 3 years of age.
Keira Knightly and husband James Righton are expecting a baby. Righton is in the British band, The Klaxons. Knightly, 29, made light, but confirmed her pregnancy when she quipped at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, "I can kinda go, 'Well, I'm pregnant so my shoes have to come off,' and nobody is allowed to say anything! So that's quite nice." Knightly is known for her very slight build, so speculation about her pregnancy was hard to confirm by sight. Indeed, it was reportedly the giveaway when she was abstaining from alcohol and no longer wearing tailored clothing, but looser fit clothes. Knightly is nominated for both a Golden Globe and a SAG award for her role in The Imitation Game. Ironically, her co-star in that film, Benedict Cumberbatch, is expecting a baby with fiance Sophie Hunter. Cumberbatch is the star of the TV show Sherlock, and the star of The Imitation Game. For the film, Cumberbatch is nominated for best actor Golden Globe and SAG awards.
Jeff Goldblum, 62, and wife, 32, Emilie Livingston are expecting their first child. Livingston should definitely be in good enough shape for the birth. She is a former gymnastic Olympian and now is considered a contortionist and aerialist. Goldblum compared what she does to Cirque du Soleil performances. Goldblum says his wife, whom he wed in November, told him the day before the wedding she was expecting. He stated, "It's a boy. We picked out a name, as a matter of fact. If it stays — this is our current thinking — [it'll be] Elliott Charlie."
Rapper Macklemore and fiance Tricia Davis are expecting their first child. The couple released a movie online to finally answer online rumors. The video featured intimate moments such as the couple hearing baby's heartbeat for the first time, sharing affectionate moments while getting a sonogram.
Davis and Macklemore (legal name Ben Haggerty) became engaged in early 2013 and state baby is due this May. Davis is Macklemore's road manager.
"Today the media speculated about some big news in our life, so we decided to share it with you ourselves," opened the video — which was co-produced by Ryan Lewis, Macklemore's creative partner.
