  • Any celebrating happening in your home this week? What are you traditions and how will you be sharing the holiday celebrations?

  • Not sure about traditions persay.. We always spend Christmas Eve at my Father's House for dinner and presents.
We do a polyanna between myself and siblings. And for the past 12 years or so a package of boys power rangers under-roos has been wrapped and given to some unsuspecting recipient.. Last year my future BIL got them.. so only time will tell who opens them up this year..

Christmas Day this year will start out with Aedan placing the Baby Jesus in the creche and then to Church and then home to open presents and eat breakfast. Then off to the IL's house for a few hours of visiting and presents. Then we go to my Mom's house for dinner, sing Happy Birthday to Jesus (Aedan is the youngest so he is the one to blow out the candle on the cake) and more presents to open.

  • Okay, I need to ask what Polyanna means!
I know I know, but I don't know what it means. I love the underoo exchange. That seems like such a hoot!

Your traditions sound really beautiful for Aedan to participate in. I love the birthday song for Jesus. What a great idea.

We do just the traditional Italian version of lots of eats and laughter.

Christmas Eve will be spent at SIL's house with everyone there. We partake in nothing but fish, appetizers and some wine, followed by coffee. The kids usually put on some kind of show, but I am hoping to keep Marco out of it for atleast another year.

Christmas Day: light breakfast, church and then off to the In-Laws for dinner and card games.

Occasionally we go to my parents house for Christmas, but not this year.

  • It's a Secret Santa.
Pick a name and buy for that person.

Your celebrations sound like a very enjoyable time. I loved when the whole family (cousins, aunts, uncles etc. ) got together at my Mom's Parents but since my G-mother died and G-father remarried it slowly fell apart and now my Mom and 2 of her sisters hardly talk . But this year will be good. My aunt, Uncle and a few cousins are coming for dinner at my Mom's. So we will also have food, drink and laughter.
