Question Testing limits

How does your toddler respond when you ask them to stop doing something? Do they respond the same way each time?

It finally dawned on me recently that Cora's really difficult because she takes everything to the extreme. That's why she's so emotionally/physically exhausting for me. If I ask her "Please give Preston back his toy" she ignores me. So I ask again with slightly louder/meaner tone. She still ignores me. She waits until I have to very sternly say "CORA give him back his toy now". THEN she'll give it back. She's like that with everything - she wants to see how far she can get away with something.

Brianna is the same way at times. Sometimes she is fine but those times that she is just like you describe frustrates me to no end. I heard the "3's" were the new "2's"! I thought we were almost out of the woods ladies!

This is a huge thing in our house lately. Noah & Sophia are testing my limits to see how far they can push me. Anything I ask them to do, they respond with a "NO". On days when both of them are acting up, I just want to go in my room and close the door .
We are also having the issue with alot of fighting. I can now understand why it drove my mom crazy when my sister and I used to fight. I can already see that Sophia and I are going to butt heads for a long time!

Erinn - Cora and I are a lot alike and both pretty stubborn so we'll be butting heads for a long time too.
