  • Leanna was up from 1am puking nearly non-stop. I gave her 1/2 of a Meclazine (same as Bonamine for sea sickness) at 6am. Lucky for me she didn't vomit that back up and it seems to be working.

Do they make something for kids? This didn't have dosage for under 12. 12 & up said 1-2 tablets so I gave her 1/2 of a tablet.

  • Our Kroger sells Bonine for Kids. They're purple chewables. They work for my 6-year-old in the car on long trips.

It's the PITS when the kiddos are sick!
Thank you Dopey406!

  • We use an old family remedy. Pop with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Apparently my pediatrician told my mother this when I was very young, and lots of people have found success with it. You can use any kind of pop, with "sick pop" (gingerale) being the favorite.

    Hope she feels better.
Thank you 3Princes!

  • I've heard ginger ale or 7-up is good for nausea but never would think to add vanilla ice cream!

I just looked it up & they say not to give Meclizine to kids.

Bonine for kids is a different drug. I'm going to call the ped & see what he says.
