Breast Cancer Awareness gone bad?

Should the school ban this shirt or anything with the slogan? Sure the teens are buying it for a different reason but it is raising money for the cause so in your opinion does the good outweigh the bad?

  • Thats a tough one. I would hate to be the one that has to make that call. I dont know how I feel about it.

  • I think that's a little over the top. I wouldn't wear that nor would I let my child/teenager.

  • Although I love the shirts, they're probably not school appropriate.
There are lots of other places they could be worn.

  • Well, I see it this way. I think it's a funny, neat way to raise cancer awareness but I don't think that it's appropriate to wear during regular school hours(to functions suchs as games or dances is another story)
The reason I feel this way is that in my four years in the Navy we had to monitor tasteless or offensive clothes when doing guard duty. DH just confirmed that regardless of the good cause a shirt that said" I heart Boobies" would be a shirt that would not make it across the quarterdeck. We would make them go back to their berth and change before they could leave. If they came aboard in a shirt that we decided was not appropriate then they were warned that they better not wear it when they leave.
