04-07-10 | 12:45 PM - I just came across this name for a girl:
XANA ( pronounced " Zahna")
What do you think of it?- MrsS1stbaby
04-07-10 | 03:42 PM - Well, it sounds cool. Xavier starts with X and is pronouced X-Avier. I would be concerned someone mistake Xana for X-ana. Do you not like the way Zahna looks?

04-07-10 | 04:00 PM - I pronounce Xavier as "Zavier". There's a university here with the same name and it's also always pronounced "Zavier".
I don't pronounce xylophone "x-Ilophone".
I think Xana is cute. You could spell it as you pronounced it--that looks really feminine: Zahna.

04-07-10 | 04:22 PM - Huh, now you got me thinking about the way I pronouce names! lol, oops! I don't actually "know" anyone named Xavier, but I seem to remember hearing someone else say X-avier. But, you're right, I don't say X-llophone either. Guess I just never made the connection.
But I agree about Zahna; I think it looks and sounds pretty.- 2babygirls
04-07-10 | 04:39 PM - I was never sure if Xavier had an X or a Z sound. I guess it depends on the parents!
I think I like Zannah or Zanna or Xanna better than Xana.
