  • I'm not much of a drinker but I'm looking forward to occasional glass of wine after my little one arrives. Since I'm hoping to breastfeed, I was wondering how much, if any, alcohol is permissible for breastfeeding moms?

  • Basically what you just occasional glass of wine, lol! You can buy test strips (at least here you can) at Target and BabiesRUs that will test if your breastmilk is safe. I've used them myself.

Here is a link to Le Leche League as they have pooled together a lot of helpful info on the subject:

  • Oh test strips, that's brilliant. Never heard of them before but I'll pick some up when I cross the border.
They should make some for teenagers, I can use them when my boy grows up

  • Wow, test trips I have never heard of that until now. Thank you for that information. :-)
