  • Look for other hunger cues too... like sucking on hands, rooting, etc. Maybe even pump a little before attaching to forego the quick let down.

    Ashlyn chokes quite a bit, but rarely spits up.

  • oh, uh... Andrew didn't want to stop at 5 minutes either. That's where the pacifier came in.
    If it weren't for that plug... his desire to suck would have NEVER been satisfied because he clearly couldn't eat as much as he desired to suck.
