  • Our local pizza place us running an "end of summer sale"--1 large, one topping pizza for $5.99! That WORKS in our budget!!

  • We also adjust our grocery budget when we know we are going to eat out. Typically we eat out twice a week. My DH works full time and is a grad student so there just really isn't time to cook him a meal on the nights he has class. So I may only buy enough meals for 4 or 5 nights. And if we end up eating out an extra night, or if his parents take us out, which they do quite often then, the next week I'll adjust my grocery budget by teh number of meals I had left over from the week before.
