The Glucose Test App

  • Yesterday I had my 28 week appointment (even though I'm 29 weeks) with the glucose test. The only flavor they have at my Dr's office is the orange stuff, but that's not a HUGE deal. Just gulp it down and it's not so bad I guess.

I got measured and I'm measuring 2 cms small, but that's been fairly consistent so I'm not worried (hey, maybe I'll have a SMALL baby for once

) And I also got to hear the heartbeat, it was in the 140's.

I got the results of the glucose test today and it was just fine (thank goodness, I really didn't want to go in for the 3 hour test!) BUT my iron was super low! SO, now I get to take iron supplements twice a day (I guess we'll be stock piling fruit in our house!) The nurse said she would call it in, but she hasn't yet, so unfortunately that means another trip out in this horrible heat! Fun fun...

Anyway, how is everyone else doing?

  • I failed my 1 hour glucose test so I had to take the 3 hour one on Sunday and i'm still waiting for results. I'm also having to take Iron suppliments, but my doctors nurse told me just to get the over the counter kind.

  • I passed mine, thank goodness! It made me feel so sick. Otherwise all is good here, almost 33 weeks and should have an eviction date for baby next week (I'm being induced at 38-39 weeks).
