  • pregnants and lurkers alike... I need help!

We have a baby due in 8 weeks and while she's had a first name forever, she still has no middle name. Her first name will be Mackenzie, and our last name starts with S and has two syllables. With Mackenzie being three syllables, it's already quite a mouthful, so we'd like to keep a middle name to one or two syllables at most. BONUS.. if it ends with -ae or has -ae in the middle, or an -ay that I can change, that would be awesome! My middle name is Rae, my daughter's name is Laela, and I'd really like to keep with the theme. We've thought of the obvious... Rae, Mae, Kae, but I'm not terribly thrilled with any of those. Any and all suggestions would be welcome!

  • Hum thats tough. Especially since you want short and sweet. My first thoughts were
    Mackenzie Julianna or
    Mackenzie Onaleigh (On-a-lee)
but since you think maybe -ae
    What about
    Mackenzie Renae? Reese?
    Wait I have it Chandra....
    Mackenzie Paege or Paige!
    Mackenzie Maegan?

  • Thanks LeAnn, those are good! I also really like Desirae, it has the Rae and means Desired One, which I love.. but it's another three syllables in an already long name!
