Wink How was your appt Chandra?

Just checking on you and wondering how your appt went. Did you get an ultrasound? I hope so!! Let us know how it went.

Thanks for thinking of me.

We've had a busy night here so I didn't get a chance to post yet, but here it is..

The appointment went really well, it was nice and long and I really like the midwife, she's so kind and normal and non-doctory! Yeah I know that's not a word. Kyle (my DH) couldn't believe how nice she was and how much time she spent with us. She wanted to do an ultrasound right away to get my dates figured out, but the u/s tech was gone today!

I could have gone back tomorrow (remember this is an hour away) but DH really wanted to be there so we scheduled for next Wednesday. As it turns out that worked pretty well, as that's the same day they had openings for the hospital L&D tour, which DH hasn't seen yet. I need to get bloodwork done by then, and I have another appt scheduled in one month. Unless.... and here's where it gets interesting.

The midwife took me into an exam room and felt my belly, and really thought my fundus was very high up, almost under my belly button. That would make sense if I was a month ahead like I could be!! (my last period was really weird, and I had a + home test but was told at the dr that my levels were too low for it to be viable.) She didn't hear a heartbeat, but was listening very low, way down in my pubic hair almost. So if the ultrasound shows that I'm ahead, I have to go back right away next week and have my next appointment to get things taken care of sooner rather than later.

So, that's my update! Phew, that was a lot of typing!

Wow, that is so great that your appt went good. And what if you are a month ahead that is wonderful except that your other stupid docs office really screwed up didn't they if thats the case!

I wish I was a week ahead instead of a week behind what I thought I should be.
Can't wait for your ultrasound next week!

So glad you liked her, she sounds great! Hey here is a thought, what if you are not a month ahead which is why she couldn't hear a hb and you are measuring big because it is twins?
