Scared About Preterm Labor AGAIN

  • Hi Gals!! Oh I am SOOOO nervous... With Jack (our son) I was in the hospital at 30 weeks with preterm labor.... We were so lucky they could stop him and I went 39 weeks until we did a c section because he was breech.... I am scared I will have the same issues with our 2nd...
Maybe I should be in another section (I just started here)... But, does anyone have any experience with it? I know everyone is different.... I just had the most terrifying experience with him. They kept telling me I was just dehydrated and not to worry and when the contractions would not stop I went it and STILL they acted like no big deal... After an hour of monitoring I was admitted in a whirlwind, spoken to by the NICU and ready for a c section (he was breech then too) if they couldn't stop the dilating... Ugh.... Even remembering it is hard....
On a lighter note our new crib bedding came today and i am very excited to get things set up for this little one!
Thanks for letting me share.. Hope someone has some tips for me.

  • Leslie started going into the hospital with our second child around 30 weeks too. I think she was there 3-4 times before she gave birth around 35 weeks. I know once was with dehydration and who knows with the others. I too felt sometimes the staff was a little apathetic but remember they see multiple births each day and they see some pretty bad stuff too, so if they don't seem worried then it's probably better for you.

I hope everything went smoothly and you are all doing well.
