Default new appt update and U/S

I had my regular appt on Tuesday. I gained another 3lbs so that was good. My belly measured small though, which isn't unusal for me. I have measured small with each of my pregnancies. My doc ordered an U/S just to make sure everything looks ok as far as fluid levels and such. I went in yesterday for that, and my fluid was fine, but baby is measuring quite a bit smaller than expected. I am almost 31weeks now and most of her measurments came in at 29weeks, with the exception of her abdominal size which measured 26 weeks. Like I said, my babies have always measured small...but not this small! I had an U/S with my DD Mara around 28 weeks when she measured small, but at the U/S she looked fine and weighed almost 3lbs. This time I am going on 31 weeks and baby only weighs 2lbs 13oz. The tech tried to play it down saying that her machine usually estimates on the small side, but that same machine estimated Mara's birth weight almost exactly, so I'm not sure I believe her lol. I go back in 2weeks for another appt and I'm not sure what to expect. I don't know if they will do anything differently for me or if they won't even worry about baby being so small

I don't think that small means unhealthy, though, right? My niece was measuring 3lbs at 37 weeks on the u/s, so they induced her mother right away and she weighed over 5lbs. She was completely healthy and has been since then! Keep her cooking and she'll be big before you know it!

I wouldn't worry too much. I have heard if you can spend any extra time lying on your left side that is supposed to help. I think it allows more nutrients to flow through that main artery that feeds your uterus/placenta/ baby

I wouldn't worry yet either. Baby still has a while to grow and the ultrasounds are off.
