Red face Withdraws!!!

I forgot about how much the withdraw period suuuucks during this. I fell asleep like 5 times at my desk this morning with my program manager right across frm me...whoops! I remembered someone telling me last time that it was ok to have A cup of coffee and then slowly ween urself off...and man that one cup is hard!!! im even more tired than usual!! plus no smoking...which keeps me awake when i take breaks during the day...then no drinking when i get home. Sigh. Now don't get me wrong --- I have NO PROBLEM sacrificing this stuff for my child. Its just hard to have your body all outta sorts like this...suggestions on how to deal???

And is it ok for me to drink organic black chai tea? itsl ike that TAZO brand? I dont know what to drink in the mornings! but i need something hot in the AM to keep me moving haha

I'm so sorry you're struggling! Its all so worth it though! I wouldn't drink black tea either. How about an organic herbal tea? Red Raspberry tea is yummy and is really good for fighting off morning sickness and is good for pg mommies! Raspberry leaf tea is good too, but I can't remember if that's just a 3rd trimester thing or if its good to drink throughout your pg. Do you think that might help hit your hot drink spot while being good for you and the little one?

I am still drinking 1 very small cup of coffee each morning. (during the week) Last time I was pregant, I drank half regular & half decalf, but a friend of mine said her doctor told it was okay to drink regular coffee in moderation. I would also ask your doctor about hot teas- I am sure there are some that are safe during pregnancy. I personally do not like hot tea, so I don't have any suggestions, sorry!

Thanks guys!! Ill definitely check into those other teas and stuff, but maybe still keep a cup of coffee in mind once in a while!! And its good to know it can help fight morning sickness because i dont wanna go puking all over my office!!! haha. Thanks again!

Black tea does have caffeine, but not much if it is only one tea bag. You could try one regular and one decaf teabag or half calf is another good suggestion. I actually drank hot chocolate and ate saltines first thing every morning- I know it sounds kind of nasty, but it worked! Tea and coffee (even decaf) hurt my stomach in the first part of my pregnancy so that was OUT! You'll find what works for you....and keep up the good work- your healthy baby will thank you for it!
