  • How easy were these to get for you?
We are finally ready to send in our birth
certificate paperwork, and hope that there
are no problems getting it. We've heard that
some people in our area have had trouble

I am not sure I know how to get a soc. card for
our daughter. What have others done? I don't
remember doing it for our other kids.....I suppose
it was just a part of all the hospital paperwork we
    filled out?

  • unfortunely some people do have trouble registering their births. the only advice I can offer is to do it prompty, do not put it off. for the soc card, I called the 800 number in the phone book, was sent the paperwork and given an appt to return the paperwork and approved verification of birth. it arrived in the mail shortly after.

Our Midwife has always done both of these for us.

    It's pretty cool!

Your Midwife should be able to help you find the way to do this.
