Exclamation freaking out

I know what the odds are of having another child with the same syndrome as Lily, which I know I'll have no problem loving and accepting any child I have. but no one wants to have a baby with health problems. I also know I can have an ultrasound now which will give me that answer. I don't know if I want to know now. we had planned to wait until 16 wks. we won't terminate, and there are no treatments that can do done at this stage...but another parent of a baby with the same syndrome is exactly the same stage of pg as me..she found out her new baby does have it also..and I just freaked out.
I mean..I know that it's a possibility, but to actually happen.
now I'm feeling more anxious and very scared.

I think you have to decide which is worse: living the next 3 weeks knowing your child has the syndrome, or living the next 3 weeks not knowing and being anxious about it. If going the 3 weeks not knowing would give you hope and let you enjoy the time more, I say wait. Otherwise, you might as well find out now instead of playing the guessing game, since you know what you're going to do either way. Good luck to you, I'll pray for you and the baby. Let us know what you decide.

You have every right to be fearful, but if I were in your shoes I would want to find out, so that I could have the best team of doctors on my side.

I think Chandra summed it up on the pro and con side, you have to do what you feel you can emotionally handle at this point.
