  • I am so miserable and have been since the second week of December. First i had a sinus infection and bronchitis i got rid of that and got a 24 hour stomach bug that made me ralph anything i took in, and now I have bronchitis again the doc is hesitant to put me on antibiotics and i need to know whats safe to take for sinus congestion and cough? I dont have a list of safe over the counter meds. Thanks for any advice i feel like my head is going to explode off my shoulders.

  • Sorry you're feeling so sick Jennifer! I hope you start to feel better soon.

My list says: For cough: Robitussin regular or DM 1-2 tsp 4 times a day

You should call your doctor though- they may suggestion something different for you.

  • Definitely check with your doc, but I would take Guaifenisen (like Mucinex or Robitussin ONLY Expectorant syrup). This should help you along with COPIOUS water drinking to cough that crud out and get better.
