  • It's so nice to have someone around for the first few days at least after you come home from giving birth to help you. Do you have someone lined up to help? How long will they stay?

  • My Mom came up to my house every day ( for a couple weeks) when I gave birth to DS. Now she lives with us so I'll have her most days at least until DH gets home from work. Then she'll head out to her PT job.

  • Dh will be taking his full paternity leave (he gets 1wk full paid, 1wk token pay). MIL will also be about and hopefully my mum for the first couple of days

  • Thank goodness dh is taking off 2 weeks after baby is born. It will give me a change to recoup so I can get back into the swing of things with the children and the new addition!

  • Dh will be off for a few days, but because he doesn't have any paid leave available we can't afford for him to take off as much time as he did when dd was born. I'm hoping that after he goes back to work FT I'll be able to get my mum to take a few days off to come help me out should I need it. I'm confident I should be okay, but then I've never had a 2yr old and a newborn on my own before either.
