  • OK, so this is my first pregnancy, and I was wondering for any of you experienced moms, how soon did you show?

I am medium height, medium frame and about 15 pounds overweight. (5'5" 155lbs). I am 7 weeks now. I am trying to wait as long as possible to let people at work know, as it will affect my schedule that they give me next year. If I can wait until 13 or 14 weeks, that would cement next year's schedule. But, since it will be spring, there are no big sweaters to hide behind!

    Thanks a bunch!

  • It can depend on a lot of things. Even though I was overweight, a lot, with my kids I have very slim hips, and a medium torso, no where for the baby to go but out. It can also depend on how stong your abs are. Hopefully you can hide your tummy for another 6 weeks or so. The thing about early pg and being even a bit over weight is that people are often afraid to ask if you are pg for fear that you are just gaining weight and they will embarass themselves and you.

  • Ooohh, good point. I hope that they don't ask. But the people I work with tend to be really nosey, so maybe not!

  • I'm showing a bit already... only if I wear tight shirts or blue jeans...

    I'm only 6 weeks!

  • Oh I forgot to say... I'm also in the same boat... I'm not telling people at work yet because I'm up for a little promotion and I don't want being pregnant to affect that.
