  • I had a c-section with dd and she is 4 and a half months old. I am not trying right now, or even planning for another one yet, but someone recently told me that their doc said that there is a minimum time that you should wait to get pregnant again after a section to let your uterus heal.
Has anyone else heard of this?

  • Not sure.... I do know Savannah33 got pg pretty darn quickly after a c-section.. and she was fine .. hopefully she will see this and give you some advice..

I have had 2 sections so far.. I was 15 months PP when I got pg for the 2nd time.. so I was 23 months when I gave birth.. everything was fine with me. I'm not going to have a 3rd 36 months after the 2nd..

If you are planning on starting to TTC soon you should call your Dr. and see what he/she thinks..

  • The Dr recommends normally a 12 month period to let your uterus heal properly but that's basically a standard they preach it's not to say anything horrible will happen if you get pg sooner.

I got pregnant with #2 right at 13 months after #1 was born. I got pg with #3 only 3 months (yes you read that right

) after #2 was born so they are only 12 months and 25 days apart in age. All 3 of my children were c-sections.
