RH- and homebirth.

  • I'm RH-. In the hospital they test the placenta to see if the baby is RH- before giving a Rhogam shot. Does anyone know how midwives handle this in homebirths?

  • I'm afraid this is one subject I never researched much because both myself and my husband are posative (a+ and o+).

  • My Midwife would give the shot just as you would get it in the hospital I'm sure.
