  • Hi, it’s normal to gain weight in pregnancy, but over weight is unhealthy. It also has a psychological effect. In my last pregnancy, I do my best not to be overweight. I read and searched a lot about that. I only gained 7 KG. I found out that a woman who was average weight before getting pregnant should gain 25 to 35 pounds after becoming pregnant. Please be aware of that.

  • My dear. You should control your weight. Underweight women should gain 28 to 40 pounds. And overweight women may need to gain only 15 to 25 pounds during pregnancy. I did simple thing which helps me to not gain more weight as I understood my caloric needs and avoided empty calories and unhealthy foods. I took prenatal vitamins and ate frequent, small meals. I did some light exercises. Always check your doctor. He will advise you more.
