I'm Jennifer. My daughter Lauren is 7.5 and moderately to severely affected by her autism. She is verbal, however, it is all functional language in one or two word sentences or echolalia. She can indicate what she wants/doesn't want but she has a significant expressive language delay.

She also has a host of sensory issues compounding our challenges.

We also have a 5 year old son, Alexander. He is neurotypical and signficiantly advanced in his language and social skills - definitely NOT autistic.

I was a frequent poster on the Donor Insemination board back when I was ttc and check in here now and then.

HELLO!! I'm Amber, married to DH(Eric) for 3.5yrs.

Alexis "Lexy" is our middle child. She will be 7 in December. She was diagnosed at age 4 with Autism, but we knew right away from birth that something was wrong. We started seeing specialists at 12 months of age, and the official diagnosis came in 2007. She is moderate to severly autistic, attends 1st grade in an integrated classroom & requires a para-professional at all times. She has been such a joy and blessing in our lives, and we love her like crazy!

We also have two other children, Aryiana (9 in Nov) with no disabilities or delays and Ava (2 on 9/27) who is showing no signs of anything.

Hi! I'm Monique. I'm on this board for my daughter, Aislinn, who is 4. She has allergies, and we are beginning the process to have her evaluated for Sensory Processing Disorder, specifically tactile hyposensitivity/sensory seeking and auditory defensiveness.

I have 3 boys Bryce 15, Carson 10 & Grayson is 3. Grayson does not have an official diagnoses yet we are on a wait list & hopefully it will be done in the next 4 months or so. However we did have a speech assessment & his receptive (understanding) speech is severe so that qualified him for full funding for a special needs preschool. The preschool has an OT, physio, pediatrician, psychologist & speech therapist all of who are on Grayson's team.
