  • So today I told him that I'm still deciding what I want to do about ttc. He said, "What? You're thinking about trying again?"

I said, "yes, you said you'd support whatever I wanted to do, right?"

He said, "Yeah, but I was hoping that if we bought a bigger newer more beautiful house it would help you not be sad about it anymore."

First of all, we still might not be moving. Second of all, how does a house replace a child? He didn't mean to be hurtful or anything but he certainly doesn't understand.

  • A
I love how our DH think they can solve our problems but sometimes don't even get close! I'm sure after you talk about it some more he'll be more up for it again. I'm sorry he's being a butthead right now! LOL

  • That's sort of sweet in a way. He's trying to fix the problem in the only way a man could! At least he didn't try bringing you home a puppy as a replacement!
I'm sure he'll support you 100% on your decision. He wants to give you everything in the world!

  • Men just think very differently, they don't have the womb!

Like Laura said, it's kinda sweet. He wanted to make you happy, by doing something he could control, whereas maybe he feels that having another baby is out of his control.

Sending you much love Jeanne xxx

  • Oh.. you're all right-- he wasn't trying to be hurtful, he was just trying to "fix" it.

He knows better than to bring home a puppy, and thank God for that!

And right back at ya Tracey!
