  • Yeah don't freak out too much. I also have a high prolactin level and I am on "parlodel" (Bromocriptine) a half tab every night at bedtime. It brought my levels to normal within 2 weeks. I was in the 50's and I came down to a level of 13 in 2 weeks. It can make you light headed in the beginning but I am used to it now. My doctor told me it was nothing to worry about. He said I probably had a small benign tumor on my pituitary as well. He never sent me for any tests because he said my level was not high enough.

    Hope that helps.

  • My dr. office also told me I had a high prolatin level. It was 24 which is the high end of normal he said which is ok if you are not in baby making mode. I was on the same drug as Mary-Ellen but he took me off of it while we are on a break...I got really nasty headaches and it took me awhile to get moving in the morning, I was very slugish.

I hope you get some answers.
