  • How many of you feel ovulation pain? I always wonder if I'm feeling the pain after or before I ovulate. Any thoughts?

I always feel ovulation pain. It happens on one side or the other for about 3-4 hours and then it's gone. Some people feel that it's caused by the tiny amount of fluid bursting from the follicle into the abdominal cavity. I have used it to get pregnant (that's why I have so many boys!) and it's very accurate. The pain is during ovulation for sure!

  • Thanks! Mine lasts for two days.. and I just want to make sure we are doing our IUI's at the best timing possible.

  • I definitely have it too. When they were monitoring me I'd always get it a few hours after the IUI, or about 38-40 hours after an HCG trigger shot. I have various pains in the days prior to ovulation too, but the real sharp, definite pain is (I believe) right when I'm releasing the egg.
