  • Hi

I have been told to take Prometruim and Clomid in an attempt to try to conceive. I do not get a regular period anymore, so that is why I was given these 2 medications. I am confused on when to take each one. Do I take the prometruim until I get my period, then stop that and start the clomid on day 5-9 of my cycle? My doctor also advised me to get an ovulation kit to determine when I am ovulating. When should I start testing if I am on these 2 medications?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to all of this and SO confused

    Thanks

  • Your Dr should tell you exactly when to take the medications not anyone else.

  • Yes. It shold be right on the bottle of your prescription. The prometrium is probably to bring on your period and then the clomid will make you ovulate. Every doc does things differently though. Good luck!
